The numbers of voters choosing to cast absentee ballots is rising in astounding numbers. Delivering appropriate ballots to those absentee voters is a major challenge, and getting the voted ballots back in time to count them in the election is a second major challenge.
Under the direction of the Federal Voting Assistance Program (FVAP) initiative to help jurisdictions comply with the MOVE act and to help Uniformed and Overseas Citizens Absentee Voting Act (UOCAVA) citizens with absentee voting, PollChief® developed a wizard to deliver absentee ballots online.
The Absentee Administration wizard collects information online from the absentee voter, compares it with registration and absentee listings, provides the appropriate forms, determines the appropriate ballot based on home (voting) address and status, arrays complete information for the Election officials for approval/override/rejection, and presents the ballot to the voter with comprehensive instructions for returning the ballot by mail, fax, or e-mail.
The Absentee Administration wizard is highly customizable to meet with the complex variables between election jurisdictions. Voter instructions, database interfacing, email notices, return envelopes, absentee/registration/FPCA applications, tracking barcodes, satisfaction surveys, etc, are completely revised at the discretion of each County/State/Jurisdiction.
